Frogwood
Lodge is a friendly and beautiful site just
4 miles from the very cool town of Boonville, but up a mountain canyon
enough to be very private. The buildings and hot tub are nestled in a
mountainside forest with spectacular natural beauty and wildlife.

Frogwood is on a hillside of mature Redwood, Madrone,
Douglas Fir, and Tan Oak forest.

We have some short walking trails and plenty of meditation
zones. There are many special forest spots on the land.
Some have huge stumps (from old-growth logging around 1920's) with "fairy
rings" of 30-90 year-old Redwoods growing in circles around the stumps.

The picture above shows a "fairy ring,"
group
of younger redwood trees growing around an
oldgrowth stump that was probably logged
between 1910 and 1930.
Frogwood enjoys clean fresh mountain air, delicious pure
spring water (gushes out of the mountainside from several natural springs),
inspiring views, a healthy forest ecosystem, and several walking trails.

Lodge Building

Our beautiful main Lodge has three levels and plenty of
usable space for groups of up to 70.

The three floors include:
Lodge Main Room
The
main room of the lodge is a nearly 1000 square foot gathering space. The
room features high vaulted ceilings, lots of windows, six skylights, two
bathrooms, central heating, finished wood floors, a huge pillow lounge,
a large fireplace and hearth, a piano, an extensive science and children's
book library, a telephone, a massage table, and a powerful sound system.
Rugs, pillows, and cushions are plentiful to make cozy
lodge use easy. Great for meetings, yoga, dance, ceremony, celebration,
meditation, partying, etc. The main space consists
of two rectangular sections: the main area (21' x 31'), and the back section
(normally the pillow lounge /chill space- 18' x 15').
Lodge Lower Level
Commercial Kitchen and Dining Room
The group dining facilities downstairs in the Lodge consist
of a large six-burner commercial stove with two ovens, a flat double-wide
grill, and a large ventilation hood.

It has food preparation areas, many appliances, a dish room, two refrigerators,
tile floors, central heating, and a dining room that seats 30-40 diners.

Hot Tub:
Our large "clothing optional" hot tub is kept hot and clean
for guest use. It sits in the forest with great views of the trees and
hillside. The tub is located conveniently near the Lodge building. There
are two outdoor open-air (non-private) hot showers on the deck near the
tub.

The Hot Tub is surrounded by cleverly angled decks and two outdoor showers.
Ambient deck lighting at night provides safe use without bright lights.
The tub holds up to 10 people and is wheel-chair accessible.

Hot Tub Use:
If you use the hot tub, WE NEED YOUR HELP to keep the water as fresh and
clean as possible.
PLEASE follow these simple steps to save us work and to ensure your group
has the best spa experience possible. Children must be with an adult to
use the hot tub. Safety first…. Enjoy!
1. Always shower before entering tub. Outdoor showers
are located on the deck next to the hot tub.
2. Please try your best to avoid having any perfumes, oils, lotions,
soaps, glitter, make-up, etc. on your skin before entering the
hot tub.
3. Swim Suits and Suds: If you wear anything into the
hot tub, it must be laundered or rinsed (with NO detergent
or fabric softeners) before use in the tub to avoid soap
residues in tub.
4. Watch your step and move slowly on the decks (multi-levels
and darkness can be potentially dangerous)
5. Please notify a staff member if you notice any problems with the hot
tub.
6. Treat the lid with care! It is the most fragile part
of the hot tub. Remove and replace it with at least two people.
7.
Please rinse your feet before stepping into the tub (avoid
tracking in fir needles, etc.!)
8. Hot Water can be DANGEROUS: Do not stay in too long!

Lodging
at Frogwood
Our rental offerings have been changing as we evolve
and grow. We currently have three cabins plus a studio apartment
above the Lodge available for guest use (dormitory-style, 40-45 beds total).
We also have limited outdoor tent and vehicle camping sites available.
*Tent camping and vehicle camping are allowed only in certain approved
areas. We also have parking space for a few small busses or vans, if needed.
Please let us know when you make your reservation if you have any guests
who plan to stay in a tent or a vehicle.
Frogwood Cabins:

Each
cabin is a fully-functioning little house with 1-4 bedrooms, bathroom/shower,
furnished kitchen, living room, and sometimes a deck. For a list
of cabins, rooms, and how many beds in each room/building, please see
our small groups page
.
Lodge Studio Apartment:
On the top floor of the Lodge building, we have a small
studio apartment with bathroom, shower, and a kitchenette. The apartment
also has a great forest view, a small table, chairs, and five beds. This
space is directly above the main Lodge room, and sound travels well through
the walls, so the sound from the Lodge main room (if any) should be considered
before using this apartment.
Camping:
Camping is only allowed with cabin rental or full-site
rentals. We have some outdoor tent spots for camping available. Frogwood
is situated in a steep mountain canyon, so our camping sites are limited.
There are some flat and flat-ish spots for tents. Some groups choose to
use deck space for tent platforms. We also have parking for vans and pick-ups
for vehicle sleeping, and a few larger flat spots to park big vehicles,
such as campers, busses, or small RV's.

We are a community facility and we welcome ideas
and help from those who are inspired by the sacred
site and our Earth-Friendly mission. Please let us know
